Institute for Transformative Education

Empowering Youth

The SDSU Institute for Transformative Education (ITE) is a network of programs, dedicated staff, and community supporters whose aim is to champion low-income, first-generation-college students to discover their personal, educational, and career goals by providing comprehensive academic support, mentorship, and essential resources. ITE programs support K-12 students across the San Diego region as well as SDSU undergrads in the pursuit of these goals. The data below is an average of the annual number of students served from 2017-2024 academic years.
